Kid’s Briefs

The Kid’s Briefs Pattern is a versatile sewing pattern to give the kiddos in your life the most comfortable underwear with several options to fit their preferences. They are virtually wedgie-proof, and come with different options for the perfect fit!

This pattern includes two different rise options as well as two difference booty coverage options. While both coverage options are considered a full coverage brief, the trimmer coverage option features a narrower crotch width, while the fuller coverage is a bit wider to take into consideration both the preferences of the wearer as well as differing anatomy. There are options for a functional fly or no fly. The instructions include options for bound or banded legs and banded or elasticated waistband. There is also a variation at the end of the instructions for using lingerie elastic for an even trimmer and more delicate look. Additionally, there are instructions for a smoothing hack for non gender conforming kiddos as well.

The Kid’s Briefs are great for all levels of sewing. This pattern is made to use knit fabrics with at least 50% stretch in both directions. Cotton Lycra is the recommended fabric.
